Struck by the our global dependency on fossil fuels, our vulnerability to be hostage to price volatility as well as the environmental consequences, Pierre built the foundation of Tugliq Energy – to offer alternative solutions through diversification and innovation.

Former president, Chair and cofounder of Hydrogenics (NASDAQ: HYGS, TSX: HYG) Pierre is also an investor in various enterprises. His fundraising achievements are valued at $146 million in equity. He also maintains business relationships with GM and is active in various boards of directors.

Pierre is a nature enthusiast who enjoys wilderness camping and canoe trips.

Pierre holds a Doctorat Honoris Causa in Engineering from the University of Toronto for his accomplishments in renewable energy.

• M.Eng (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Toronto and MBA from the “RIchard Ivey School of Business” at the University of Western Ontario.
• B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) of the Royal Military College of Canada.

Laurent has been serving as TUGLIQ’s CEO since April 2016 and is driven in his daily activities by new opportunities for energy diversification through renewable energy and innovative storage technologies.

Laurent  embraced his position at Tugliq  a seasoned executive, entrepreneur and consultant, with more than 25 years of experience  in the energy and mining industry. Among his endeavors, Laurent founded Comenco Lab, a consulting firm specializing in the mining sector.

Laurent graduated in mechanical engineering from École Catholique des Arts Métiers (France), MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (Spain), and CMA from Concordia University (Canada). He has a strong international, operational and financial background, and holds an international Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.

Laurent is a cycling enthusiast, you can always spot him walking into the office in his bright green bike suit. By winter he is an avid snowboarder, eager for the great outdoors and fresh powder.

After receiving her Bachelor in Finance degree, Carole continued on to completing her MBA with a specialization in finance at Laval University, where she received two-time mention on the Dean’s Honour List.

Carole earned her CMA accounting title following her studies in the executive program of the John-Molson School of Business at Concordia University.

Throughout her professional career, Carole has held multiple positions in financial strategy and accounting. She has shown exceptional performance through her problems solving and abilities and critical decision making. She has been specially chosen to manage the financial portfolios of over thirty strategic investment projects that have been valued at over $110 million. True to her nature to constantly surpass herself, Carole has succeeded in reaching some of the highest summits in the world, including the highest point in Nepal at 6 012 meters.

Nicolas comes from a background of both technical and managerial expertise, having developed his career for ten years in the mining sector and holding the position of capital project manager for remote locations. His technical portfolio includes experience in the design and execution of electrical transition and production systems.

Nicolas’ long-standing technical experience, program management expertise and project analysis acumen make him an integral part of Tugliq  through his role in the business development and team management of the company.
